OBAMA LIES in debate McCain cleans the floor with him
From the Obama website:
Diplomacy: Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.
From Henry Kissinger: Henry Kissinger is "upset" with Obama for distorting his views! From the Weekly Standard Blog:
Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality."
UPDATE on more:
Obama bragged about supporting missile defense. Wrong! He has not...
Barack Obama: "I Will Cut Investments In Unproven Missile Defense Systems."
Obama: "I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems, and I will institute an independent defense priorities board to ensure that the quadrennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending." (Barack Obama, Caucus4Priorities Response, 10/22/07)
Barack Obama Said He Doesn't Agree With Missile Defense. "I, for example, don't agree with a missile defense system." (WTTW11's "Chicago Tonight," 1/17/01)
"In Addition, If Elected, Obama May Well Be The Only Senator In The United States Who Is Pledged To Cut U.S. Missile Defense System Research By As Much As $10 Billion." (Thomas Roeser, Op-Ed, "Think Kerry Is Liberal? Get A Load Of Obama," Chicago Sun-Times, 3/20/04)
Barack Obama Supported Legislation "That Would Move $50 Million From Missile Defense Accounts To The Cooperative Threat Reduction Program." (S. 1042, CQ Vote #311: Rejected 37-60: R 2-52; D 34-8; I 1-0, 11/8/05, Obama Voted Yea)
UPDATE: "I wanted him to know my son's name when he is Commander and Chief", Mrs Jopek, mother of dead son on the bracelet that Obama wears...."Sen. Obama treated that bracelet as a mere prop for a piece of political theater — and when he finally received what he recognized as a cue to perform, Sen. Obama still couldn't even deliver his intended line without a prompt." (Bednar).
UPDATE: Speaking on a Wisconsin Public Radio show a few months ago, Brian Jopek, father of Ryan Jopek who lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, said his wife was surprised that Obama was still wearing the bracelet even after the family told him to take it off . (Newsbusters)

Brit HUME---there was NO DEAL before McCain got there
There was NO DEAL....Republicans were/are NOT on board. When Dems heard McCain was coming they said, "don't come we have a deal"....included money to ACORN, like we want THAT deal...and Reps said NO WAY...so McCain came. Dems got ticked and tried to blindside McCain's efforts IN ADVANCE....Dems are playing politics and media bought it.... surprised???? NO to Reids sneaking in the OIL Shale BAN...shame on him.....No to bail out unless they really fix it......free market......not socialized government
More from Ed Morrissey: "Pelosi and Reid don't NEED GOP to pass bill.So why not just call a vote? Pelosi doesn’t want to get married to George Bush, that’s why. She wants to spread the political risk and get consensus on a bailout plan so that the responsibility for any failure doesn’t rest solely on her shoulders, at least in the House. Both Pelosi and Harry Reid wanted John McCain to deliver both GOP caucuses to cover their own butts on the bailout bill, and McCain — at least thus far — hasn’t convinced Boehner to do so."

DC Examiner for MCCAIN!
http://www.dcexaminer.com/opinion/The_Examiner_endorses_McCain-Palin_dc.html#comments
1) Experience, toughness, character
2) Proven leadership and committment
3) Domestically, McCain is unique in never seeking an earmark to benefit a family member, political ally back home, or financial contributor. As president, he will veto all earmarks and other pork barrel spending. He believes Americans know better than government how best to spend their hard-earned money, and he promises – in words that make many of his colleagues in Congress swallow very hard – to make famous those in government who waste or steal tax dollars

presidents like Harry Truman remind us that defending and enriching America's place in a dangerous world often requires the sometimes rough-hewn character of men and women who always put country first, no matter the cost to them personally
Oh NO he didn't...Oh YES he did.....
Obama had a lot of sound bites in his speech about the presidential debates.....He would 'wait' for a call.......Obama...the line is busy......he's talking to Raines, Johnson, Wright, Ayers, Russia, Cuba, Iran, ....Streisand, The View, Katie Couric.......Rezco.....Sharpton....Lindsey Lohan.....
He also said, "I have a BIG plane, McCain has a BIG plane, and they both have big slogans painted on the side. They can get us to Mississippi when they need to."
Don’t guys do this in the locker room? Is there new ‘guy speak’ these days that I am not familiar with? He is actually commenting on the size of their planes??? Good to know he has a big, pretty, fast, plane....now he needs to get in it and go to Washington to do the work taxpayers PAY him to do..........Talk is cheap.....especially memorized soundbites....
A new concept for him since he has only been there 143 days and hasn't voted most of that time.....he may not know exactly what he is supposed to do....oh, 'they' will 'call him' with that info.
THANK YOU BILL CLINTON: On McCain and the debate....."We know he didn't do it because he's afraid because Sen. McCain wanted more debates. "
..".I presume he did that in good faith since I know he wanted -- I remember he asked for more debates to go all around the country and so I don't think we ought to overly parse that"

Obama---"Call me if you need me!"
Obama said, "call me if you need me" in response to Sen. McCain's proposal to suspend debate until this bail out was resolved.
Sen. McCain suspended campaign to deal with the economic crisis and asked to postpone debates. Jr. Sen Obama, 145 days in senate, said 'no thanks' and wants to tie in the foreign policy debate with the economy when the economy debate is for another day.....Dem. Reid wants McCain to stay away. The very Democrats that got us into this mess want McCain to stay away, Obama wants politics as usual, and McCain wants to get this mess fixed......... Again, McCain puts COUNTRY FIRST
Mr. Jr. Senator never shows up for voting or work anyway......figures he would want to keep campaigning....isn't that what he has spent most of his Senate time doing anyway? It is obviously an area he feels most comfortable....that and the fact that he wants his own agenda......Dems are spinning this against McCain.....politics as usual. Obama also wouldn't answer the question about whether or not he would vote..........do we even need to ask that question? Of course he won't vote...he never does.....present....he did say he would be there....
Sen. Mccain has repeatedly asked Obama to hold Townhall debates and Obama has declined. Debating seems to be at Obama's discretion and convenience and only when he feels his talking points are sufficiently memorized. We know he can't speak off the cuff without a teleprompter. He has had plenty of time to debate and now wants to put POLITICS FIRST--OBAMA
Also, Senator Obama said, "we both have really big planes with really big slogans printed on them that can get us to Mississippi if we are needed." HUH???? Obamalogic....OBAMICS

Obama's equal pay for women is JUST WORDS
From Sister Toldjah:
McCain pays top dollar to women while women in Obama's campaign make .83 on the $1.
"On average, Obama’s female staffers earn just 83 cents for every dollar his male staffers make. This figure certainly exceeds the 77-cent threshold that Obama’s campaign website condemns. However, 83 cents do not equal $1. In spite of this 17-cent gap between Obama’s rhetoric and reality, he chose to chide GOP presidential contender John McCain on this issue.
When Alaska governor Sarah Palin was named the Republican vice-presidential nominee, Obama told voters in Toledo, Ohio, on August 31 that “she’s opposed — like John McCain is — to equal pay for equal work. That doesn’t make much sense to me.”
Obama’s criticism notwithstanding, McCain’s payment patterns are the stuff of feminist dreams.
McCain’s 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.
On average, according to these data, women in John McCain’s office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, ceteris paribus, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart — while adding $10,726 to her annual income — by leaving Barack Obama’s office and going to work for John McCain
Now, who would YOU want to work for???

Obama needs to rethink ad on McCain
Obama's current anti-McCain ad proclaims McCain is computer illiterate. Here are some pertinent facts about Sen. McCain:
"McCain character loyal to a fault
By Mary Leonard, Globe Staff, 3/4/2000
… McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain’s encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He’s an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can’t raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball…
The Obama camp might want to take this ad back."

UPDATE: SEX ED AND KINDERGARTENERS
Obama's new ads attack McCain as being against protecting children by not being willing to address issues of sexual predators in sex education. These ads are in response to McCain's ads disclosing that Obama voted YES to teach sexual education to kindergarteners.
The actual Senate bill 0099 states : "Each class or course in comprehensive sex education offered in any of grades K, six through 12; shall include instructions on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections including the prevention, transmission, and spread of HIV. Nothing in this section prohibits instruction in sanitation, hygiene, or traditional courses in biology."
It is to be noted that NOTHING in the bill mentions, promotes, or advocates the issue of sexual predators, which could be taught in regards to child safety separate from SEX EDUCATION.
Recent ads had addressed the issue that Obama voted for sexual education to be taught to kindergarteners (all k-12) and opponents believed this should be a parental choice. The original legislation has been for 6-12, but was changed. Obama voted YES (a time he actually voted for something) to the changes.
As expected, Obama's campaign has chosen to distort his OWN FACTS. His original comments were addressed to PLANNED PARENTHOOD, which the average, intelligent person will realize has NOTHING TO DO WITH PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM PREDATORS. Planned Parenthood deals with pregnancy prevention, abortions, and birth control... NOT SEXUAL PREDATORS, unless we are going to teach children to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases from sexual predators.
JUST THE FACTS.
AS A PARENT: One of my children I allowed to go through the sex education curriculum and I opted out of the second one because: my oldest daughter was taught about bestiality, inappropriate information (TMI) regarding homosexuality, and other graphic sexual information about positions, toys, etc. I was stunned. I am fairly open minded, but the line was crossed and I would not subject my next child to that. It really comes down to parental choice. PERIOD.

Biden a Creationist?
http://www.evolutionnews.org/2008/09/biden_clinton_edwards_kerry_mc.html
Biden, Clinton, Edwards, Kerry, McCain (in 2001) Agree:
High School Curriculum Should Inform Students About the Evolution Controversy; Palin (in 2006) Lets It Be Optional
Press reports on Governor Palin as the Republican nominee for Vice President featured her position in 2006 on the teaching of alternatives to evolution: "Teach both. You know, don’t be afraid of education. Healthy debate is so important, and it’s so valuable in our schools." Palin later clarified: "I don’t think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum."
On this thin reed stand accusations that Palin is a "creationist." But if that makes someone a "creationist," then the ranks of the creationists include the Democratic party's 2008 nominee for Vice-President, both of its 2008 runners-up for the Presidential nomination, and both its 2004 nominees for President and Vice President, as well as Republican 2008 Presidential nominee McCain. In 2001, Biden, Clinton, Edwards, Kerry and McCain all voted for a mandatory teach-the-controversy approach to be the law of the United States.
From The Santorum Amendment:
It is It is the sense of the Senate that—
(1) good science education should prepare students to distinguish the data or testable theories of science from philosophical or religious claims that are made in the name of science; and
(2) where biological evolution is taught, the curriculum should help students to understand why this subject generates so much continuing controversy, and should prepare the students to be informed participants in public discussions regarding the subject.
The issue is not ignoring 'sound science', but the opportunity for DEBATE. Isn't that what we want? We do not want our children spoon fed or indoctrinated about someone else's belief system that is incorrectly stated as 'fact' without allowing for appropriate debate. And that works for both sides of the issue.
Remember: The absence of proof of G-d does not mean that G-d does not exist anymore than finding the piece of a leg bone and naming it 'Lucy' makes a whole evolutionary argument a statement of fact.
An intelligent debate must be allowed to occur if we are to teach our children to seek out facts, seek out learning, seek out information themselves and then come to their own opinions.
Oh,......Obama didn't vote......while that may seem USUAL......he hadn't yet been elected to Senate.

"You MEANER!"
When my five year old gets mad she begins with a string of insults starting with "You MEANER. You're ugly. I hate you." She finishes this off with a sound foot stomp and sticks out her tongue to emphasize her point.
Her visceral and vitriolic expression of her anger makes me think of current liberal political pundits, liberal commentators, liberal TV talk show hosts and and famous women who are making their feelings known in this current election season. Especially when they are discussing Governor Sarah Palin. According to them, she is just 'not woman enough, not the right woman, and just 'mean' for legally hunting wildlife in her state.
Joy Behar of THE VIEW recently stated that Governor Palin was 'just mean' because she hunts animals.
After Governor Palin's convention speech numerous guests on various talk shows stated they believed Governor Palin's speech was 'just mean and spiteful' as she pointed out clear discrepancies in Obama's lack of experience and the Democratic Party's slams at her for HER supposed lack of experience.
Michelle Obama wrote her master's thesis on how 'mean' white people were because people tended to hang out with those they were comfortable with and she didn't believe she would ever be fully integrated into white society. How mean we are that she now makes over $300,000 a year in a high level corporate job and her husband is running for the highest office in the land. Yeah, white american's are 'meaners'.
I guess "mean" is all relative in this election as Barack Obama insinuates that Governor Sarah Palin is just a 'pig in lipstick' as he disparages her for being 'just a mayor' while she is a current GOVERNOR.
South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”
Matt Damon, actor, whose opinion, of course, is always so important and necessary (*snort* pig like) says that Governor Palin's nomination is "like a bad Disney movie." Please keep in mind that in 'good' Disney movies a parent inevitably always dies or is 'evil' in some way which makes me wonder if I would really LIKE a bad Disney movie (does that mean that there are actually 2 intact parents in the home raising their child to achieve all of their dreams? hm...)
Today there are 30 lawyers and investigators in Alaska to find out all the 'mean' dirt they can on Governor Palin courtesy of the Barack Obama campaign for Change and Hope.
I guess he believes we just have to be MEAN to make change and to give us hope.
