CONSTITUTION OF US: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare," not insure it, "promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Section 1 of bailout proposed bill: "Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, Section 2, Purposes: Provides authority to the Treasury Secretary to restore liquidity and stability to the US financial system and to ensure the economic well-being of Americans." This absurdity is better known as socialism. Our government is going to pass a law that has as its stated purpose the secretary of the Treasury ensuring the economic well-being of Americans.

Whoopie Read the Constitution!!!
Whoopie Goldberg publically exposed her ignorance and lack of education when she challenged Sen. McCain on his stand about have Supreme Court Judges that would interpret the Constitution of the US instead of Judges that would made legislation (which is the job of a legislature).
She asked if she had to be worried about being a slave again.....Whoopie...you are a slave to liberalism without desiring to get the FACTS.
Justin McCarthy of Newsbusters chastises Goldberg by writing, "If Goldberg -- who in the past has shown clear ignorance about the Constitution -- would actually read the Constitution, she would know a strict constructionist would not return America to slavery. The 13th Amendment to the Constitution states that "neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except for punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
Initially Senator McCain ignored Goldberg's question, but Whoopi expressed her enslavement anxiety again adding "there are certain things in the Constitution that you had to change." The "View" co-host should know that, unlike the legalization of abortion, slavery was abolished through a constitutional amendment, not a Supreme Court decision.
